Sustainable Web Manifesto is an initiative dedicated to encouraging more people in the web industry to commit to creating a more sustainable web. This manifesto is a public declaration of a shared commitment signed by 2,615 people so far.

The commitment focuses on service and product providers aiming for their work to be:

Clean (powered by renewable energy)
Efficient (using the least amount of energy and material resources possible)
Open (accessible for the users)
Honest (no misleading or exploitative practices towards the user)
Regenerative (supporting an economy that is positive to our planet)
Resilient (doing a good job, basically)

This commitment to sustainability is very important, and it is even more important that people in the web industry actively promote and practice sustainable design and development.
